Veterinary Physiotherapy is becoming widely recognised as a beneficial addition to the veterinary field. It provides a holistic approach to treating the whole animal, which works effectively in conjunction with traditional treatment of illness and injury rehabilitation. Physiotherapy can be used from the moment of injury right through to the long term support of a recovered injury or area as well as for maintaining a healthy musculoskeletal system to improve mobility and function.
Veterinary Physiotherapy offers an array of different treatment options including various manual therapies and electrotherapies. These can help reduce pain and promote healing of tissue and in combination with exercise prescription, can aid rehabilitation and improve function.
I am a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist with a PhD in Animal Behaviour and I am a member of the Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP) with full insurance cover. I am able to treat animals at their own home or yard and I cover East Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.
